In Response to COVID - 19

The health and safety of our entertainers and festival attendees is a top priority so I, and this year’s production team, have been monitoring the State of Illinois’ COVID-19 response and plan for reopening, as well as CDC recommendations and projections. The state’s plan, Restore Illinois has short term and long term goals for businesses to reopen. Conservative estimate would possibly allow gatherings under 50, in later summer early fall, with social distancing measures and face coverings being suggested still. Interstate and international travel may still be restricted. Based on this information and projections, we’ve decided to postpone the Midwest Queer Comedy Festival from Aug 23-29, 2020 to May 16-22, 2021.
MQCFest is embracing the current norm of moving shows online and, and we are working on creating virtual experiences to bridge the gap between now and when we can all come together again. We’ll be announcing the line up and preliminary plans later this month.

Stay Happy. Stay Healthy. Do Queer Shit.
